Dear Valentine

Dear Valentine,

Happy Valentine’s Day though we haven’t yet met,

That will be quite a story, I’m willing to bet.

This year I’m celebrating with Harry and Sally,

Noah, Allie, Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly.

I hope we’ll be together soon,

Perhaps, even by this June.

So Happy Valentine’s wherever you may be,

Wishing love, for you from me.

Thank you Kelsey for dancing away the night with me.

Thank you awkward people, for making normal situations that much more uncomfortable.

Thank you classic musicals, like Oklahoma! and Carousel for letting me get lost in dancing and singing for an hour or two.

Thank you high heels for making the delightful clacking sound I love, every time I take a step.

Thank you Mom for going to the party with me last night.

Thank you Dad for watching Harry Potter with me this afternoon.

Thank you dark chocolate for being so delicious.

Thank you candles for making a room seem more homey.

Alright, so all week I meant to post and it just never happened. Another stressful week, that ended well. So without any further ado, here is Thank You Note 2.

Thank you Washington for the crazy weather this week, Monday downpour and record-breaking rainfall, Wednesday sunshine and record-breaking temps., Friday frigid cold and record-breaking temps.

Thank you Fred Meyer for a great wine selection.

Thank you fall for the falling leaves – orange, red, scarlet, yellow – ahhhh….gorgeous

Thank you YL girls for a reminder of what it’s like to be in high school, and how glad I am to be through that phase of life. :0)

Thank you Target for your fantastic sales.

Thank you 2nd graders for all the notes and pictures you drew me on Friday.

Thank you peppermint mochas for putting me in the holiday spirit already.

Thank you HCC for an awesome church service this morning, great way to start the week.

Happy Halloween! It’s been a long, and fantastic weekend, with a bonus half day Friday afternoon following conference week. Conferences went really well, and I got a lot of work done in between meeting with parents.

Anyway, inspired by Mr. Jimmy Fallon’s weekly Thank You Note segment I’ve decided to make Thank You Notes a weekly part of my blog. Plus, it’ll hopefully guarentee a weekly post! 

From the sincere to the silly, this is my chance to say thanks.

Thank you Kim and Tim for an awesome weekend, and once again letting me crash at your apartment. Love you guys!

Thank you Mama Stortini’s in Kent for a night full of laughter and good food.

Thank you South Center Mall for awesome shopping and quality girl time.

Thank you Step Brothers for your awkwardness and hilarity, and most of all, fancy sauce.

Thank you Kim for your never-ending attempts to find me a man, maybe once we’ll actually get to the going on a date part. :0)

Thank you second graders for your never-ending hugs.

Thank you Jesus for a gorgeous sunny day after the rain yesterday, a reminder that a little rain must fall but the sun will always shine again.

Thank you sister for your phone call this week, just because you missed me. Love you.

Thank you fall for all the beautiful colors and the opportunity to wear warm coats, scarves, and boots on a regular basis.
